Yuko Turnbull Born and raised in beautiful British Columbia, Yuko was first exposed to the great outdoors by her parents, who ran a camping company. As a young girl, she found herself inspired by the smell of the raw, earth, the colourful spring blooms, and the poetry of falling leaves, As an adult, Yuko continues to look to the natural world for inspiration.
She incorporates many natural themes and ingredients into her designs, products, and art in order to create items that are cruelty-free and good for the environment. Driven by a desire to better understand how food can heal the mind and body, Yuko recently began experimenting with the raw-food diet. She has since developed a line of fine herbal teas and tonics designed to beautify and strengthen hair, nails, and skin from the inside out.
Yuko is an avid gardener and can be found tending her vegetables, herbs and flowers during the fair months. The cycle of growth and renewal is another source of inspiration for this evergreen artist who augments a passion for beauty with formal training as a painter, sculptor, and hair stylist.
